Nutrigold Betaine & Pepsin provides 200mg Betaine Hydrochloride and 20mg (300NF) pepsin per capsule in a hypoallergenic form. Hydrochloric acid has a number of important functions in the stomach including supporting digestion of food, assisting absorption of minerals such as zinc, iron, magnesium and calcium neutralizing pathogenic bacteria from food and preventing entry into the digestive tract.
